SCHWIND AMARIS

Specifications

With the AMARIS, SCHWIND have developed an all-rounder with unmatched high performance, thereby offering an extraordinarily high level of accuracy and the first-and-only laser to combine all available state-of-the-art technologies in one system.

It combines very high ablation speed with a turbo-charged eyetracker considering pupil and limbus tracking, rotation balance and advanced cyclotorsion control. These ensure the perfect balance between extremely high speed and accuracy. The integrated online pachymetry ensures the greatest possible level of safety.

SCHWIND AMARIS

Automatic Fluence Level Adjustment

The 'TotalTech Laser' impresses through a true pulse frequency of 750 Hz and, with two automatically adapted fluence values, ensures perfect ablation control.

Automatic Fluence Level Adjustment

Depending on the refraction to be corrected, approximately 80 percent of the conreal ablation is performed with high fluence, thus speeding up the treatment. Fine correction takes place with a low fluence level, improving the resolution. With this intelligent process, the laser treatment is significantly shortened, especially when higher refractions are corrected, and at the same time carried out with exceptional precision.

Intelligent Thermal Effect Control

Intelligent Thermal Effect Control

The 'Intelligent Thermal Effect Control' ensures thermally optimized, dynamically adapted distribution of the laser pulses during the treatment. This means that there is always enough time for each area on the cornea to cool down between laser pulses. This prevents damage to the cornea after long exposure times — even with the AMARIS' very high abalation speed.

1050 Hz Turbo Eyetracker

Intelligent Thermal Effect Control

An eyetracker must work at a significantly higher frequency than the laser in order to safely allow a very short ablation time. The 1050 Hz turbo eyetracker of the AMARIS, with a response time of less than 3 ms, serves to provide unsurpassed precision in the positioning of each laser pulse.

The extreme speed and other groundbreaking features, such as rotation balance, limbus tracking and static as well as static and dynamic cyclotorsion control, Z-axis tracking, ensure exact compensation of every eye movement, on into the sixth dimension.

Particle-free Climatic Conditions

Particle Aspiration System

The unique particle aspiration system of the AMARIS provides for stable environmental conditions over the cornea — independent of any air movement in the operating room. The result of SCHWIND's comprehensive flow analysis is that energy-reducing particles are removed during ablation with the aid of directed airflow.
